Great Summer Art Exhibition 2025
31 December - 2 January 2025
For the 31st consecutive year, the Mahurangi East Tennis Club proudly hosted, The Great Summer Art Exhibition 2024. With the Community Centre, at Hamatana Road, still under renovation, a new location in the old Warehouse building was used.
I am overjoyed to announce that my exhibition piece, ‘Ebb and Flow,’ has found a new home. This sale was made possible on Monday night's preview evening. I had the absolute delight of meeting the new owners when they arrived to collect it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am truly humbled that you love this piece as much as I do, and I hope it brings you endless joy in your home.
I had some amazing feedback, from this 3 day exhibition and also sold many smaller, unique pieces so thank you.
A huge thank you to the organisers, the volunteers, sponsors and of course, you, the art lovers.
Thank you to everyone who bought a unique piece from Kirsty Jane Designs.
Here's to a healthy, happy, and successful 2025, filled with inspiration and creativity!
Please get in touch if you are interested in ’Rock Around The Clock,’ which is still available for purchase.
mARTakana 2024 (19-21 January)
Cracking opening night and weekend at mARTakana! Thank you to Harbour Hospice and also to Barfoot and Thompson, for sponsoring this event. Collectively, $29,242 was raised for patient care - the highest amount that has ever raised!
I entered, ‘Magic & Mayhem’ and ‘It’s Mint!,’ into the exhibition, along with some smaller pieces including fluid art glassworks (coaster sets, trivets, drinking glassware) and one of my vinyl wall clocks (left) - ‘Party Time.’
I’m so happy to announce that ‘Magic And Mayhem’ has found a new home and was sold at this event.
Thank you so much to all of those who came and supported such a worthy cause, Harbour Hospice. Also a special thanks to the buyer of my art piece. I am extremely happy and very grateful.
Please get in touch if you are interested in ‘It’s Mint!’ which is still for sale or a custom/commission piece.
Great Summer Art Exhibition 2024
29 December - 1 January 2024
For the 30th consecutive year, the Mahurangi East Tennis Club proudly hosted, The Great Summer Art Exhibition 2024. Artworks include photography, this year.
I would like to thank my parents for setting up my art area at this year's event as I was on holiday in Queensland, AU and could not have done this without them (they are the absolute best x).
I entered, ‘Nearly Midnight’ and ‘Green Goddess,’ into the exhibition (both fluid art on vinyl), along with some smaller pieces. I had some incredible feedback (including a commission) and sold several jewellery pieces and fluid art glassworks, including coaster sets and vases.
Although I wasn’t fortunate enough to win a prize in the exhibition, ‘Nearly Midnight,’ was purchased and I am ecstatic that this clock will hopefully, by now, have found a new home on a wall somewhere, I’m assuming here in New Zealand! I couldn’t be happier!
Please get in touch if you are interested in ’Green Goddess,’ which is framed and available for purchase.
mARTakana 2023 (19-21 January)
What a weekend at mARTakana?
The artists, in attendance, donated 40 works to sell as part of the auction and sales of these artworks, on opening night and over the weekend, boosted the fundraising total by nearly $4,500. In total, this event raised almost $21,000 for the Harbour Hospice.
I entered, ‘The Inlet’ and ‘Butterflies and Angels,’ into the exhibition, along with some smaller pieces. I had some incredible feedback and sold several fluid art glassworks, including coaster sets and trivets.
Both the above mentioned paintings are still available to buy.
Please get in touch if you are interested in either of these creations or a custom/commission piece.
Great Summer Art Exhibition 2023
31 December - 2 January 2023
What a weekend at the Great Summer Art Exhibition, Snells Beach. Thank you to the Mahurangi East Tennis Club for organising and running this event again.
The piece I entered into this exhibition 'Rainy Days and Sun Days,' (shown above) was not purchased so if you are interested in this 18 x 36-inch unique creation please get in touch via email at kirstyjanedesigns@gmail.com or through the Contact form on this website.
'Rainy Days and Sun Days,' was created with firstly a puddle pour, then a swipe (I'm just loving my Amsterdam paint) and then the final composition was created using a marble. Phew!! I love this creation. The colour palette is predominantly Mars Black, Metallic Gold, Titanium White, Iridescent Graphite and Blue Grey.
I want to thank those who attended and a special thanks to those who purchased my art; coasters, paintings, jewellery, giftware, glassware, ceramics and KJDs (walkable art), I am truly humbled.
